The Stony Brook Seawolves kept the Binghamton Bearcats offense at bay throughout much of the afternoon as they swept a doubleheader at the Bearcats Sports Complex in Vestal.  The Seawolves earned wins of 5-0 and 3-1 to up their overall record to 23-18 and 9-8 in America East play.  The Bearcats fall to 6-11 in conference and 10-25-1 overall.

In the first game ace Nick Gallagher pitched 6.2 innings, stuck out eight and gave up just one earned run in a losing start.  The Seawolves put the game out of reach with three runs in the ninth inning.

In the nightcap lefty Nick Wegmann went 5.2 innings.  He struck out five Seawolves, gave up eight hits and a pair of earned runs.

The latter part of the second game was played with rain falling.  The teams square off in the third game of their series with an 11 A.M. start on Sunday.
