School Zone Speed Stop Results in Drug Charges in Cortlandville
A Town of Harford woman is facing drug and other charges after Cortland County Sheriff’s officials stopped her vehicle from speeding in a school zone.
At 12:39 p.m. on November 10, authorities say they found 40-year-old Rhonda Couch drove too fast through the school zone on Isabel Drive in the Town of Cortlandville.
Authorities say they found she had a suspended license before she attempted to run away from authorities. After Deputies took her into custody, they found she had several controlled substances in her possession.
Couch is charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding.
She’s got court dates scheduled in both Cortlandville Town Court and City of Cortland Court.
