According to a news release from Binghamton University, the BU school of management students honors program will work with Jablon Studios to begin installation on a mosaic at the entrance of the American Civic Association.

The mosaic is a project that was included in the community service from the PricewaterhouseCoopers Scholars (PwC) that began in 2019, but was put on hold during the COVID-19 shutdowns last year.

The PwC scholars started moving forward with the remainder of the project when they returned to campus last fall, and so far, have raised close to $10,000 for community service projects, through fundraisers and donations.

Along with the mosaic project the PricewaterhouseCoopers Scholars helped renovate a storage room in the American Civic Association into a computer lab, which will give the facility better access to the internet.

Assisting PwC in creating the art work on the mosaic project, is Jablon Studios, they have worked on other glass mosaic projects, including the stone walls along the Chenango River’s east side, and at the Ross Park Zoo. The mosaic is made up of blue roses and mirrored glass to reflect American values.

The school of management program that is sponsored by PwC is for students with strong academics and merit and who identify a local initiative community service as a way to give back to the community.

The installation will take place Today (Friday April 9th) from Noon-4pm Saturday April 10th from 1p-4p and Sunday April 11th from Noon to 4pm
