The Preservation Association of the Southern Tier (PAST) is once again sponsoring Sacred Sites Open House Sunday (May 19) in our community.  It is the seventh year that area religious structures are opening their doors and welcoming visitors to their sites.

Sacred Sites Open House Sunday is a program of the New York Landmarks Conservancy.  This Sunday there will be 23 sites open for visitors.  Hours vary at each location with the earliest sites opening at 10:00 A.M. and the latest going until 5:00 P.M.

Sacred sites are located all around Broome County including Binghamton, Johnson City, Endwell and Endicott.  Additional sites have been added for visitors this year.  They include:

The Islamic Awareness Center, 74 Conklin Avenue in  Binghamton

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation , 183 Riverside Drive in Binghamton

Boulevard United Methodist Church, 113 Grand Boulevard in Binghamton

Union Presbyterian Church, 200 East Main Street in Endicott

Central United Presbyterian Church, 17 Nanticoke Avenue in Endicott
