Sacred Heart Ukrainian Festival Set For Big Weekend

The Annual Sacred Heart Ukrainian Church Festival is set for this Saturday and Sunday at their picnic grounds at 607 Brooks Road just off Route 11 in Castle Creek.  Festival times are Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 8 PM each day.
A number of ethnic Ukrainian Foods will be available.  Specialties include Pyrohy, Holubtsi, Kobassa and Kraut, Ukrainian Beer and a variety of baked goods.  Various vendors will have displays, cultural and historical items will also exhibited.  There will be a Chicken Barbeque, ethnic dancers and activities for children and adults.

Food is available for purchase on the picnic grounds and take-out is also available.  Many choose to eat a meal there and bring some home to other family members.

DJ Joe entertains throughout the day on Saturday and Rooster and the Road House Horns with Freddie Mendoza provide live music on Sunday afternoon and evening.  There is no admission charge for the event.
