Sacred Heart Ukrainian Church held its annual Easter Bazaar last Saturday at their Recreation Center at 230 Ukrainian Hill Road in Johnson City.  Hundreds turned out to join in the celebration.

Many enjoyed the delicious ethnic food favorites prepared by church members.  Pirohy and holubsti were featured as well as borscht soup and dessert favorites. Families enjoyed the festivities and plenty of food was was available for on site dining or take out.

In addition to great food there were gift displays available for purchase along with plenty of crafts and ceramics.  Always a favorite...Pysanky...Ukrainian Easter Eggs drew lots of attention.  People watched the artists decorating the eggs and others made purchases for gifts or home displays.

Father Teodor (Ted) Czabala was busy giving tours of the church and discussing the history of the church and culture.  Plans were also being made for the summer Ukrainian Festival coming up in Castle Creek in July.
