Race for Town of Union Supervisor Becomes More Crowded
The list of people wanting to replace Town of Union Supervisor Rose Sotak seems to be growing by the day.
Sotak is indicating she will not run for reelection while trustee Frank Bertoni recently announced his candidacy. June 6, fellow Republican, Dennis Ede said he would challenge Bertoni and Democrat Frank Palmisano is expected to officially announce he is running this week.
Sotak has made few public appearances or spoken to reporters since she had come under fire with allegations of intimidating and harassing Town employees. Criminal charges against the Supervisor were dropped but not before trustees, including some in her own party, called for Sotak to step down.
Sotak then filed a gender discrimination suit against some of her detractors saying Bertoni and others targeted her because she is a woman.
