Quit Bugging Me
They’re sometimes creepy and sometimes spooky and no I’m not talking about the Addams family, its summertime and the bugs are out in full force, but that’s not entirely a bad thing.
Many people are appalled at the site of spiders, I have to admit I’ve got a creepy jolt when a few have passed my way, but imagine how many more bugs would be inviting themselves into your space, if those eight legged arachnids didn’t exist.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County is holding a webinar as part of an on-line gardening class to introduce you to the insects that would be beneficial to you and your backyard.
We know that pollinators can be beneficial to your plants, but there are several insects of the parasitic variety and others that have predatory characteristics that could be of great value to the landscape of your property.
The webinar will show you how to attract these good bugs and keep them working for you around your home.
If you’re interested in attending the webinar (via Zoom) on Wednesday July 29th at 6:30pm
