The day honors 14-year-old Daron Richardson, who committed suicide in 2010 by opening the discussion about youth mental health and suicide.  The Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier has organized the event with the Devils as part of the Do it For Daron initiative that was started by the girl’s parents.

Fans are encouraged to wear purple to the game. Purple was Daron’s favorite color.  Those wearing purple will be eligible for raffle prizes.
