Police Seek Man Who Displayed Gun in Johnson City Business
Johnson City police are trying to locate a person who showed a handgun after he became angry while inside a village store.
The incident occurred at Wilson Deli at the corner of Main and Arch streets around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Police Chief Brent Dodge said a man entered the store and reportedly asked for some free cigarettes. He became upset when his request was declined.
Dodge said the man then apparently lifted his shirt to reveal a gun, although no threat was made. The man then left the store.
Police were looking for a black man who was said to have a thin build; between five-feet, eleven inches and six-feet tall; wearing a black baseball cap and a denim jacket.
