A 24-year-old Port Crane woman has been charged with driving while intoxicated after a vehicle crash in the town of Fenton.

Authorities say Broome County sheriff's deputy Steve Blackman came upon the crash scene at the intersection of Route 369 and Ganoungtown Road while on patrol early this morning.

Sheriff's deputies later found Crystal Ellett at a home on Ganoungtown Road.

A passenger in the vehicle was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for treatment of injuries.

In addition to DWI, Ellett was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury motor vehicle accident; speed not reasonable and prudent; and moving from lane unsafely.

Ellett also was cited for operating a vehicle without proof of insurance.

Ellett was released to appear in Fenton town court at a future date.
