A traffic stop in the Town of Union will mean time in court for two people charged with drug possession.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they stopped a suspicious vehicle coming from behind a closed business at around 4 a.m. June 3 and found 30 year old Amanda Craft of Newark Valley and 54 year old Randolph Parkes of Endicott in possession of several packages containing a tan powdery substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Craft and Parkes are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both were released and ordered to appear in Town of Union Court at a later date.
