Man, Woman Charged After Stolen Car Breaks Down
Two people were arrested when the stolen car they were in broke down on Route 17 in Delaware County.
Authorities say 43-year-old Angel Rodriguez of Long Island and 25-year-old Desiree Hernandez of Brooklyn were arrested Sunday morning.
According to state police, troopers were sent to the Town of Hancock to check on a 2012 Toyota Camry that had become disabled on the expressway.
A trooper found Rodriguez and Hernandez in the vehicle. The car had been reported stolen to the New York Police Department on August 6.
The two suspects were charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. They were arraigned in Hancock town court and sent to Delaware County Jail.
