Owego Outlines Plans for 17 Revitalization Projects
Owego has big plans for a big money award.
Owego will be using its New York State $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative award to pay for 17 projects to enhance business, cultural and recreational opportunities. Some of those plans were outlined August 8 during a visit by Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul.
A big project involves major improvements to Marvin Park with an amphitheater, and an art park. Another plan will support renovations to a North Avenue building for use as a brewery as well as housing, better parking and enhancements to river-access.
