Otsego County Man Found Sleeping Behind the Wheel

A Unadilla man is charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .20% and possessing marijuana. 

New York State Police say they found 31 year old Ian Ward asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle with the engine running on December 7th with the vehicle stopped in the middle of Interstate 88 in Oneonta. 

Troopers say after several attempts to wake Ward up, they smashed the side window of the vehicle and placed it in park.

Authorities say when Ward woke up after they turned his vehicle off, they determined he was intoxicated and found him in possession of seven grams of marijuana.

Ward was sent to the Otsego County Jail on $1,500 bail.
