The Broome County Office for Aging provides a centralized clearing house of information for seniors, their families, caregivers and community professionals. But there may be some who are not aware of the assistance that could be available to them.

Speaking on the weekly, local public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up Saturday, January 23, Program Manager, Lisa Schuhle talks about the tough decisions many families, caregivers and seniors face when it comes to independent living, assistance and care.

Common questions involve housing options, caregiver issues and health concerns, which Information and Assistance staff can answer.

A statewide information service for residents of all ages addressing a wide range of issues is also being expanded.
