Norwich Man Accused of Assaulting Toddler

A Norwich man is accused of assaulting a toddler, causing serious injuries.

Police say 28 year old Devan Ellsworth is charged with assault after an 18 month old child was hospitalized with a serious head injury.

The incident allegedly happened over the weekend in a Henry Street, Norwich apartment.

In addition to assault, Ellsworth is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

He was sent to the Chenango County Jail without bail.
