Nichols Man Convicted of Weapon Possession in Broome County
Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Sentencing is set for September for a Nichols man convicted of illegally having a loaded handgun.
The Broome County District Attorney’s Office say 35 year old Theodore Cooper was convicted July 13 of violent felony criminal possession of a weapon.
He was arrested July 4, 2017 by Endicott Police and indicted by a Grand Jury last August.
Authorities claimed Cooper knowingly possessed the loaded .380 caliber handgun in a location other than his home or place of business in violation of state law.
Cooper faces up to 15 years in prison.
