Newark Valley Driver Charged After Running Into Johnson City Building
Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Johnson City Police say they found hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia in a vehicle that drove over a curb, hit a parking meter, crossed a sidewalk and hit a building on Main Street.
24 year old Cameron Rodriguez of Newark Valley was found unresponsive in the vehicle at 1:37 p.m. October 13 and was revived with an overdose reversal drug. Officials say debris from Rodriguez’s vehicle also hit a parked car.
Rodriquez was taken to Wilson Hospital for evaluation and issued tickets at the hospital for driving while ability impaired by drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana, moving from a lane unsafely and driving on a sidewalk.
There were no injuries.
Authorities say additional charges are possible.
Rodriquez is to appear in Village of Johnson City Court next month.
