Time is running out for New York residents to register if they plan to vote in the November 8 election.

There will be a final in-person local voter registration opportunity statewide on Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m.

Broome County residents may register at the Board of Elections office at the County Office Building on Hawley Street in downtown Binghamton. In-person registration will be offered at eight other locations around the county on Saturday.

Mail registrations must be postmarked by Friday.

Broome County election officials said as of Thursday morning, about 112,000 residents were registered with the number "increasing by the minute."

The officials said registration numbers always increase during presidential election years.

Tioga County residents will be able to register from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Board of Elections office at 1062 Route 38 in Owego.

Pennsylvania residents who aren't registered now won't be able to vote next month. Their registration deadline was on Tuesday.
