New York State officials are releasing some more information about the process for small businesses to apply for a share of an $800-million program to reimburse small and micro-businesses and some small for-profit arts organizations for expenses related to the pandemic.

The Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program began accepting applications June 10.  An announcement by Governor Andrew Cuomo June 9 that he wanted to waive taxes on the grants did not include information on where businesses could submit their applications.

Lendistry is the company that has been hired to operate the program and handle the applications.  Information about eligibility and to begin the application process can be found at https://nysmallbusinessrecovery.com/

The money could help cover payroll, rent or mortgage costs, mechanical equipment, personal protection and health equipment, utilities, insurance or even local and school taxes.
New York Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo (D-Endwell) is holding a media event June 11 at Raysor Computer Repair as the Endicott business is applying for the recovery grant that can range from $5,000 to as much as $50,000.
