New York State Police Say “Tin Man” Was Drunk

New York State Police say they arrested a Cortland man for aggravated drunk driving but say he was dressed up like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz.

31 year old Nicholas Sherman was arrested in the Town of Sullivan in Oneida County June 4 after Troopers responded to a report of an intoxicated man on private property.

Authorities say Sherman told them he had been hired by a business in Chittenango to play the Tin Man.

The homeowner on Perryville Road where Sherman and another man ended up said the pair was asked to leave before the authorities were called.

Troopers say Sherman’s blood alcohol content was measured at .19%.
