A Montrose man is charged with homicide in connection with the death of a seven month old baby three years ago.

32 year old Andrew Lesser was charged June 7 with the felony count in connection with the May 4, 2013 death of the infant boy at Lesser’s home in Harmony Township.

The child’s mother had said Lesser put his hand over the baby’s mouth when he wouldn’t stop crying and may have caused his death.

An autopsy following the boy’s death was inconclusive as to cause of death but authorities said it was believed Maverick Starke died as a result of suffocation.

New information reportedly led to Lesser being charged.
