Mom of Girl Found Dead in Colesville Faces Unrelated Charge
Investigators say children were allowed to sleep and play in a room while the body of a dead child was on the bed at a home in the Town of Colesville.
The mother of 10 year old Belladonna Loke is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, but 31 year old Serina Maddon is not charged in connection with Loke’s death. The child’s passing is still under investigation and the results of an autopsy have not been made public.
The girl’s body was found in the home of a relative on East Windsor Road earlier this month after the homeowner called authorities to report the death.
New York State Police say Loke had suffered from a serious medical condition.
Madden was being held in the Broome County Jail for a time before posting bail.
