An Apalachin woman is accused of driving while under the influence of drugs while her two year old child was in the vehicle.

New York State Police say they responded to a report of a woman possibly suffering from an overdose at 11:45 a.m. September 29 on Nanticoke Road in the Town of Maine.

The Maine Ambulance squad treated 38 year old Jacqueline Lazewski for a heroin overdose and she was transported to Wilson Hospital.

Lazewski is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a passenger less than 16 years old, endangering the welfare of a child and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

She’s been ordered to appear in Town of Maine Court at a later date.
