Pennsylvania State Police say a body found in Wilmot Township Saturday may be that of a 17 year old who had been missing since August 16.

Troopers say a neighbor of Zamien Benditt-Parks discovered the body at around quarter after 11 a.m. August 30 in a tree within a quarter mile of the boy’s home.

Pennsylvania State Police, family, friends and volunteers spent days searching for the boy.

Authorities say the tree where the body was found was about ten to fifteen feet from the road but due to heavy foliage, the remains could not be seen from the roadway.

The body has not been positively identified at this time.  The Bradford County Coroner will positively identify the body but Benditt-Parks’ family has been notified.

Investigators say the apparent cause of the boy’s death is believed to be suicide.
