Last Wednesday, January 7th, members of the Cortland County Sheriff's Department responded to a complaint of a possible meth lab at 5065 New York State Route 11 in the Town of Homer.  Upon investigation officers found components in a bedroom that are often used to manufacture methamphetamine along with laboratory equipment also used in meth making.

Through further investigation and along with help from the New York State Police CCSERT, Homer Fire Department and TLC  it was determined that the property in the bedroom and said components were owned by Heather J. Naylor, age 28 of Cortland.

Naylor was arrested and charged with Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine (a Class D Felony) and  Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Laboratory Material (a Class E Felony).  She was arraigned on $5,000 cask or $10,000 bail and given a court date of January 20th in the Town of Homer Court.
