Man Sentenced in Binghamton Gun Possession Case
A Binghamton man has been sentenced to ten years in prison after admitted to possessing a gun linked to a downtown shooting.
29 year old Marcell Harris in February pleaded guilty to felony criminal possession of a weapon in the fatal shooting of Naheen Spencer October 8 and was sentenced yesterday.
He had faced a murder charge but that was dropped due to insufficient evidence.
Spencer was shot in the chest in the area of Victoria’s Restaurant.
Harris pleaded guilty as a two-time violent felony offender.
