Authorities say 34-year-old Jason Nord faces charges in connection with the attack at The Oasis Bar at 153 Harry L Drive.

Johnson City police were called to the establishment at 3:55 a.m. on Sunday to investigate the reported assault.

Investigators say a man sustained injuries to his nose and an eye as a result of the altercation. The injured man and witnesses told police Nord punched and kicked the man several times.

Nord also allegedly pulled out a pocket knife and pointed it at the other man in a threatening manner.

Nord had left the bar before police officers arrived. He was found the following day and taken into custody.

He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. He also faces misdemeanor counts of second-degree menacing and third-degree assault.

Nord was arraigned in Johnson City village court and sent to Broome County Jail.
