The storm that brought as much as 12 inches of snow to this area has moved to the north and east.  Heavy snow began to fall in the late morning yesterday and finally tapered off by late evening.  Higher elevations seemed to get heavier accumulations.

There were no major incidents reported involving slippery driving.  Road crews were out early in the storm and kept most of the major roadways passable during the height of the storm.

The National Weather Service predicts snow showers and flurries this afternoon through Saturday.  By Sunday temperatures are expected to move into the middle 40's.
