The 12th Annual Maggie Memorial Charity Golf Tournament was held today (Friday) at Traditions at the Glen Resort and Conference Center in Johnson City.  The event is hosted by Isaiah Kacyvenski, a graduate of Union-Endicott High School and Harvard University.  He went on to play eight seasons in the National Football League with the Seattle Seahawks and St. Louis Rams.  He started the tournament in honor of his mother, Margaret Kulakowski, who lived at the Children's Home for 12 years.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Children's Home and their various programs. Through the first 11 tournaments over $325,000 has been raised and contributed to the Children's Home.

Kacyvenski is joined each year by area and national sports celebrities many of whom met him during his playing days in college and the NFL.  In addition a silent auction is held during the tournament featuring autographed items and sports memorabilia.

The Children's Home is a not-for-profit organization that offers over 17 programs to help over 500 children and their families.  Additional information on the Children's Home can be obtained at: www.chowc.org.
