
Kopernik Playground Wins Online Contest
The Kopernik Observatory and Science Center is a big winner.
An online voting contest has been won by the Center’s plans for a science, technology, engineering and math driven playground at the facility in Vestal.
The USA Today Network, A Community Thrives competition is awarding Kopernik $100,000 dollars.
The award is coming in two allocations with half the money coming now with the rest in January.
The development is expected to cost $535,000 dollars. The new award brings the amount raised to $465,000 dollars.
