
Kopernik Offers Viewing of Mars Rover Landing
Southern Tier residents have a chance at a front row seat for the landing of the Curiosity Rover on Mars.

NASA’s latest Mars mission, INSIGHT, is scheduled to land at 2:56 p.m. November 26.
The Kopernik Observatory on Underwood Road in Vestal will be open to experience the landing. The science center has a feed from NASA TV for the landing procedure.
Doors open at 2:30 p.m.
In addition to watching the landing, there will Science, Technology, Engineering and Math activities for the children and a 3D landscape taken from Mars Rover Spirit in the lobby.
Admission is $5 adults, $3 for students and seniors with a family maximum of $16 and members are free.
