Set-up and preparations have begun in downtown Binghamton for the 57th Annual July Fest presented by the Downtown Binghamton Business Association which runs Friday through Sunday, July 5 through 7.  Entertainment  will focus on a portable sound stage that will be positioned as in past years at the intersection of Court and State Streets.  Booths, vendors and displays will be set-up on Court Street from the Courthouse to Water Street near Boscov's.

This (July 4th) afternoon some of the tents are already up and State Street from near Court Street to Hawley Street is blocked off from through traffic.  Those looking to use that section of State Street and Court Street will be detoured past the intersection.
