The Johnson City Wegmans store has a new option for customers who want their groceries without actually going inside.

Wegmans has announced the Harry L Drive supermarket now has a curbside grocery pickup option.

The service is being offered in partnership with Instacart. The company began providing delivery service from the Johnson City Wegmans store just over a year ago.

Erica Tickle of Wegmans said the curbside pickup option offers convenience to customers "while eliminating some of the additional costs associated with delivery."

To use the service, customers may go online to establish an Instacart account. They may order what they want, select a pickup time and pay for the purchase.

After an order is placed, customers will receive a confirmation message and pickup instructions.

A $10 minimum order is required to utilize the curbside service. The pickup option is not yet available at all Wegmans stores.
