Johnson City Burglary Suspect Charged in More Break-Ins
Police say a Johnson City man who had been arrested in connection with two burglaries now has been accused of illegally entering two more downtown businesses.
Authorities say 19-year-old Jason Canfield was arrested Friday in connection with the latest incidents.
Canfield was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary. He allegedly entered two businesses and stole some property. He was arraigned and sent to Broome County Jail.
Canfield previously was arrested in late January after a police department dog discovered him hiding in the basement of the Computer Man store on Harry L. Drive.
Investigators said Canfield was found in possession of items taken from another Harry L. Drive business that had been burglarized earlier.
