The Binghamton Senators held a post-game jersey auction on Saturday night after their 3-2 overtime win over the Springfield Thunderbirds at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena. Proceeds from the auction go to benefit the Broome Sports Foundation and the Tommy Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund which is awarded to standout local athletes.

The B-Sens provided the authentic game-worn jerseys to benefit the Foundation.  Over the years The Tommy Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund has provided dozens of scholarships to help students further their education.

The Tommy Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of the late Tommy Mitchell, a standout youth hockey player who was killed on his way to play in a game in Utica.
