Holiday Giving From The Tots

During these stressful times, we continue to see our community help others with acts of kindness and compassion, and the Vestal Universal Pre-Kindergarten classes have created a Toys for Tots fund raiser.

The giving tree is an annual event held by the Cub Care campus of the Vestal Pre-K each holiday season.

This year with the pandemic forcing many to cancel fundraising events, the community has been forced to come up with different ways to help others in our area.

This year the teachers and students of the Vestal Universal Pre-Kindergarten classes are holding a toy collection drive now through December 16^th to benefit Toys for Tots.

They are looking for new unwrapped toys for children ages 1 through 10.

Families of students from the Vestal UPK at Cub Care are bringing their  donations to class drop off and pick up times.

The Teachers at the Vestal Universal Pre-Kindergarten usually have cookie decorating activates with the students, and send them home with decorating kits, however this year because of COVID-19 the students will make holiday ornaments in class all week.

It’s always nice to see the many ways this community reaches out to help others and instilling those values in the very young is extra special.
