Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say a Hobart woman is being treated for serious injuries following a head-on crash on State Highway 10 in Stamford October 8.

Sheriff’s investigators say 61-year-old Michael Koch of Hobart was driving north near the intersection with Terry Road shortly after 11 a.m. when he reportedly was distracted by another vehicle along the roadway and crossed into the oncoming lane where he hit a car driven by 68-year-old Dolores Austin.

Austin was airlifted to Albany Medical Center.

Koch and a passenger were evaluated at the scene and declined further treatment.

The investigation is continuing.
