A suspect is in custody following a high-speed chase through two counties that ended with the man's vehicle crashed into the porch of a Town of Chenango House.

Broome County Sheriff's officials received a call at around 11:30 p.m. October 19 from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office that authorities were pursuing a vehicle on Interstate 81, heading into Broome County.

Authorities report the suspect vehicle was clocked at speeds up to 112 mph before it left the Interstate and continued traveling on Route 11 in the Town of Chenango.

At around 11:50, after stop spikes were deployed, the driver crashed into the porch of a house on a curve at Route 11 and Dunham Hill Road.

There were no injuries to the residents of the home and the driver was evaluated by responding medics before being sent to the Broome County Jail.

The investigation is underway and further information regarding the driver's name and charges are expected to be released later by the Broome County Sheriff's office.
