HELP WANTED: Kraham Prepares to Fill Jobs at Binghamton City Hall

Binghamton Mayor-elect Jared Kraham is seeking new talent as he prepares to take office in less than 50 days.

Kraham on Monday issued a statement indicating he is "casting a wide net to attract experienced professionals" for his new administration.

Kraham, a Republican, defeated city councilman Joe Burns, the Democratic candidate for mayor, in the November 2 election.

The mayor-elect said job openings are available in several city departments including: assessment, attorney's office, economic development, engineering, finance, information technology, the mayor's office, parks and recreation, personnel, planning, public works and the treasurer's office.

Positions ranging from entry-level to department head will be available.

Kraham encouraged people interested in joining his administration to send a resume "and we can start a conversation."

Kraham has not publicly indicated which department heads he intends to replace. Shortly after the election, he said some already had plans to retire or to pursue other opportunities.
