Police investigators in Delaware County say an autopsy has determined the cause of death of a man whose body was discovered near railroad tracks in the village of Hancock.

Authorities say 60-year-old Arthur Ballard of Read Street, Hancock, died due to a combination of hypothermia and acute alcohol intoxication.

Ballard's body was found Wednesday morning near Wheeler Street and Railroad Avenue.

According to state police, there were no signs of criminal activity or foul play in connection with the man's death.

Investigators say the autopsy was conducted at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton.
