The Southern Tier has a true gem in the Mercy House of the Southern Tier. If you’re not familiar with the Mercy House, it provides a home to people who have a terminal illness so that they can receive the care they need and when the time comes, die with dignity and be enveloped in love.

Those who live out their final days at Mercy House receive round-the-clock care, their own private room with phone service, home-cooked meals, access to a chapel, and completely open visiting hours so that friends and family may visit without restrictions.
Since its inception, Mercy House has helped over 750 people transition from this life into the next, and each year, it cares for roughly 160 individuals in their final days.

The Borderline Guardian Belles chapter is comprised of women from both New York and Pennsylvania who swear to give back to their community through acts of kindness, compassion, and commitment to help others and it has been put on the hearts of the Guardian Belles Law Enforcement Riding Club to support the non-profit Mercy House through a community fundraiser.

Established in 2015, the Guardian Belles Sisterhood is focused on enhancing the lives of all who are part of our community, including those who are nearing their final days and in a way to give back, the Guardian Belles host various fundraisers including one which will be held on Saturday, May 14 – a chicken BBQ to benefit the Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
