Gas Settlement Overturned

A multi-million dollar settlement for Dimock, Pennsylvania residents against a natural gas drilling company is being tossed.

A Federal Judge has thrown out the $2.24 million jury verdict against Cabot Oil and Gas in a water contamination claim by two families.

The Judge said evidence presented by the homeowners was sometimes contradictory.

While the settlement was overturned, the judge did not rule in favor of the gas company.

The judge is ordering settlement talks in advance of a new trial.
