The former Chief of Police in the Village of Greene has been ordered to pay over $4,000 back to the Village and in court fees under a plea deal.

43 year old Stephen Dutcher pleaded guilty in September to official misconduct and criminal contempt.

He was accused of buying items for personal use with village funds.

Prosecutors said he had used municipal funds to buy a vacuum cleaner and tires.

In a separate case, Dutcher was accused of violating an order of protection issued on behalf of his estranged wife.  That order has been extended another five years.

As part of the plea deal in the Village case, Dutcher was issued a one year conditional discharge.

Dutcher had been Police Chief for ten years.
