Former Binghamton Police Chief Passes Away

Memorial services are pending for a former City of Binghamton Police Chief.

According to an obituary placed by the family, 95 year old Thomas Rall Sr. passed away May 15 in Fort Myers, Florida following a brief illness.

Rall reportedly graduated from Broome Community College when he was in his fifties, rose from the ranks of patrolman to Chief of Police and was a veteran of World War Two.

Some officers in Binghamton said they believed Rall retired from the force in 1979 or 1980.
