You have the opportunity to help CHOW provide food for needy individuals and families in the area by dropping off non-perishable food items at Food-A-Bago in the Weis Market parking lot on Upper Front Street, Binghamton.  The event is sponsored by Fidelis Care and promoted by Townsquare Media.  The Food-A-Bago is provided by Hillcrest RV.

We are looking to fill the RV to the roof with non-perishable food items.  Shoppers who visit Weis Market on Upper Front Street are asked to purchase some extra items to donate to CHOW.  Residents who may have extra food items in their homes are also urged to take inventory and donate some of those items to CHOW.

Various Townsquare Media Personalities are on site during the day to collect and load food that is donated.  For hours that are not staffed CHOW has provided giant barrels to hold items which will then be loaded into the RV.

The Food-A-Bago will remain in the Weis Market parking lot until Monday morning, November 7.  Mike Leahey, the Director of CHOW told WNBF News that there is a special need for food that can make meals for families.  Items like pasta, juices, cereal and baby formula are always welcomed.  Leahey will be appearing  Thursday morning (November 3) at 8:20 AM on WNBF First News with Roger Neel to talk more about Food-A-Bago and the increasing need to help the hungry in our area.
