Broome County is keeping the State of Emergency and flood-debris dumpsters in place.

County Executive Jason Garnar has extended the declaration, that allows the County to seek recovery funding for cleanup from the flash flooding this week and said the dumpsters at the four locations in Vestal will stay until August 1.

Homeowners can continue to apply for a tipping fee waiver for dumping flood debris at the Broome County Landfill.  That deadline is now also August 1 and the applications are still available at the Vestal Town Hall.

The Taylor Garbage Dumpsters are for household flood debris only and are at Tharp Street, Richards Avenue, Grand Avenue and at Kintner Estates.
