Fire Destroys Whitney Point Home

Authorities are investigating the cause of a two alarm house fire in Whitney Point that was reported at around 12:06 a.m., April 22nd.

Firefighters from Whitney Point, Lisle, Killawog, Marathon and Triangle were called to the home on Whitney Point/ Lisle Road.  Crews worked at the scene for over two hours but the house was described as a total loss. There were no injuries.

Initial reports indicate the blaze began in a bedroom area but the exact cause has not been determined.
