Fire Destroys Home in Marathon

Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a single family home in Cortland County December 2.

Firefighters from Marathon, Virgil, Cortland, Cortlandville, McGraw, Killawog and teams from Broome County all responded to the blaze on Route 11 in Marathon at around noon.

There were no reports of injuries.

Officials said the extent of the damage has left the home uninhabitable.
